tempus fugit

This flower could be a symbol of the Fell railway ...
In the second half of the '800 the British trying to improve the speed of their connection to the South, build a small railway. It was done in about two years, even drilling small tunnels along the dirty road that climbed at the top. Carriages were about the size of a modern car, and it took a few hours for the small trains to travel the 20 km track. Unfortunately it worked for just another couple of years then it was dismissed. Nowadays you can still see some of the tunnels, most are crumbled down.
The flower is at the side entrance of one of them. When I returned the following week it was not there any longer.
